It took me way too long to see this movie. I didn't think it was outstanding in any way, but after the fatigue of all the recent superhero flicks, it was a nice change of pace. The X Men movies were my introduction at a young age to the idea that superheroes could be cool. This was an emotionally heavy movie for me and probably all the other people who grew up watching X-Men. The technical aspects of the film were powerful, too. Overall it's not a movie that's stuck with me in any significant way. It still feels like a blockbuster action film a lot of the time but the R rating allows for some more gritty action that plays really well with the character that Logan has become. I would recommend this to any X-Men or superhero fans that haven't got around to it.
